A great balance of sweet and peat with a dash of heat
It’s a rich, thick, and powerful expression of one of the best spirits to come out of Indias thriving Whiskey industry. Namaste!

A quite simply superb whisky
A quite simply superb whisky. At £60 it dominates most of the competition. Its balancing act between depth of flavour and vibrancy of palate is outstanding.

Remarkably smooth… the more you sip, the more you enjoy! It reminds me of a Texas BBQ!
The Paul John Select Cask Peated gently astonishes the seriously indulgent. The swirl lightly whisks up narratives from the undulating landscapes of the windswept oceanfronts of Goa.

it's a beast, but a sweet beast; the kind that you'd pay money to pat at the local fair
Summer is coming and it has us thinking about spicy whisky. I continue to be fascinated by the story of single malt whisky in India and of Paul John themselves. Based in Goa, they produce several expressions but this is their "Peated Select Cask"Rife with sweetness - demerera and muscovado flavours, with a real chocolateyness and of course some peaty, smoky flavours. Remember this whisky is young, only 6 years old I believe. Bottled at 55.2% ABV, it's a beast, but a sweet beast; the kind that you'd pay money to pat at the local fair. If you haven't tried Paul John whiskies, get around them.
