Paul John Mithuna, $292, 58% ABV
Description: This Indian single malt is matured in virgin oak casks, before it's finished in ex-Bourbon casks. The Mithuna is named after the Indian equivalent of the Zodiac star sign Gemini.
Nose:Very rich. Fried okra, raisins, and cloves imply a dark very heavy profile.
Taste:Heavy indeed, but soft for its strength. Grapes and coronation chicken open up into something much creamier.
Overall:A really busy whisky but what a lovely sequence of contrasts.
